"Reverend John Calvin Rhoad Jr.
Johnny was first called to the ministry in 1988 in the Presbyterian Church in Canada. He received his first degree, B.Sc. from Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia. He has studied internationally: United States (Calvin Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan and Northern New Mexico Community College, Abiqui, New Mexico); Israel (Hebrew Union College, Jerusalem, Israel); Canada (McGill University, Montreal, Quebec; Regent College, UBC, Vancouver, British Columbia and St. Andrews College, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).
Before joining the United Church of Canada as an Ordained Minister in 2016 Johnny was an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA.
With over thirty-five years in ministry to our Saviour Jesus, Johnny has also served in various capacities in ministry: Canadian Military Chaplaincy, Prison Ministry, sessional lecturer and Christian Education, Youth and Family Ministry.
Johnny currently now serves the shared congregational ministry for four United Church of Canada communities of faith: Alsask United, Cereal United, Knox United Consort & Oyen United.
Johnny's wife, TaiLi, is pleased to add her musical gifts to ministry as she delights in playing the organ, keyboard/piano and guitar. Both Johnny & TaiLi have three adult sons."
Virginia Fernando-Schroeder
Office Administrator and Accounting

She has extensive experience in administration and finance, having worked with the Government of Alberta, Alberta Health Services and various private organizations. Virginia completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication at St. Paul University Philippines, which was assessed by Canadian International Qualification Assessment. She also holds an undergraduate Law Degree from San Sebastian Recolletos University, Philippines, and attended George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. Additionally, she earned an Administrative Professional Diploma from Campbell University in Edmonton and studied Digital Marketing at the Digital Marketing Institute of Ireland. At St. Albert Further Education, Virginia successfully guided students in applying digital marketing strategies to grow their business online, resulting in increase visibility and sales for several participants. Virginia is married to Mr. Manfred Schroeder. They are blessed with a talented daughter.
