God reaches people in the most unexpected places. There is no logical explanation for what happens in these stories, but those who are part of the story are changed by the experience of the Holy they receive. Then they are sent out to the world to do something, to continue the work of living for God and with God.
Neither Jesus nor Moses have these experiences alone. The people who accompany them hear the Holy differently but are still sent to be part of God's voice shared with the world.
