Today marks the 93rd Birthday of The United Church of Canada, so our service looked back at our history, marking both our successes and mistakes, and we looked toward the future that God invites us into.

Mark 3:31-35

31 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came. They stood outside and sent someone in to tell him to come out. 32 Many people were sitting around Jesus. They said to him, “Your mother, your brothers, and your sisters[b]are waiting for you outside.” 33 Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” 34 Then he looked at the people sitting around him and said, “These people are my mother and my brothers! 35 My true brother and sister and mother are those who do what God wants.”

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

Romans 12:4-5 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
