Genesis 45:3-11. 15 Joseph reveals his identity to his brothers, Luke 6: 27-28 Love your enemies, be merciful
How do you want to be treated? How do you want to be treated?

At Cereal United Church this week we had Kid's Church. We worked with the story of Joseph. We talked about family...what rules are and how we follow them so that everyone in our family is safe.  We talked about how sometimes it's hard to be nice to people or siblings who aren't nice to us, how sometimes it is our own attitude that might start the trouble and how we are supposed to learn from our mistakes and do better.

Then as we went to create Joseph's coats and good rules, the adults stayed upstairs and after listening to the Luke 6 story talked about what challenged them in Loving Enemies, what gave them hope in the stories, what was it that God was asking them to do today.

What rules are we asked to live by in God's Family? Where is God asking us to forgive and welcome in those who haven't always been nice to us? Have we always been nice to others? Do we sell or sell out our Brother or Sister because we don't get along? Are we treating people the way we want to be treated?
