This year the harvest is late. Our farmers are in the fields, trying to catch up after recording breaking snow on the first week of October, after a challenging summer.

It didn't feel like it was the right time to give thanks for gathered harvest when it wasn't gathered yet, when the stress and strain of working long hard hours pulled down the farmers and communities around us. So we didn't.

Instead, we gave thanks for what we do have. We gave thanks for faith that pushes us through these difficult times. We gave thanks for the presence of the Holy that reminds us to be grateful for the little things of life.

Today, I am reading you two of the scriptures and the small reflections shared for each.

Thanks for listening. Thanks for being part of our community. Thanks be to God.
