On June 10th, 1925 after much work, compromise and cooperation the United Church of Canada came into being.
Part of the dream was that all churches would come together as one church in Canada. We have not achieved that, but there are so many ways that we have grown together and grown up as a church. We play well (mostly) with our neighbours, we work with others to lift up the marginalized, those who are discriminated against.
We are not perfect. There is much that is left to learn and to live into.
Let's celebrate where we have come from, where we are, and where we think God is taking us next.
