We emerge from Epiphany with our emotions battered by having experienced the betrayal of leadership in Government officials who could not do what they ask us to do, having watched our neighbours in the south stoop to violence that was incited and condoned by leadership.
Our scriptures today give us hope that from the darkness and chaos God can see possibilities and pull forth the light. They give us hope that there are leaders who will stand with and beside people in their struggles and support them and guide them. They give us hope that when we believe that God can create the possible from the impossible, God does. From the darkness, from the chaos God offers us love. Come and love with us.
