5th Sunday of Easter

This week our scripture reminds us that, with God as our caretaker and nurturer, and Jesus as the one who grounds us and guides us, we, the branches, must be willing to share what we are given so that we can produce the harvest of love and care that the world needs.

Have there been times when God has needed to prune us back a bit, so that we can make healthier choices? Have there been times when our unwillingness to share with the rest of the vine has resulted in the crop that we have produced being weaker, smaller, not enough?
This week we share in God's table, with the fruit of vine central to our gathering. Bring your elements with you to our worship, and God will meet you there.
