This week we revisit a familiar story -- that of the feeding of the 5 Thousand in the Gospel of John. ( John 6:1–15 Common English Bible ) It's not the number of people who were fed that is important (that chances depending on which theologian considers it)... but how the feeding occurs.
People are asked to stretch beyond themselves, to offer what they have and the combination of these gifts and a bit of faith ensures that no-one goes without. Enough is received when we all offer something. What are we each offering so that the world will have enough?
