Rogation Sunday reminds us of our responsibility to look after God's earth and the creatures and people in it.
There was a time when churches would walk around their parish on this day reminding themselves of how to live as good neighbours.
It is a time when we ask God to bless the gifts of creation that we are asked to care for.
For rural churches especially, with neighbours helping neighbours to get the seeding done, working with creatures in our care, this time to stop and give thanks is very real for us.
For the beauty of God's earth... we give thanks.
